Friendship Service Center- Supportive Housing Building
|
|
Currently under construction, the supportive housing apartment complex will consist of 12 units. Their will be four-2 bedroom apartments and eight-1 bedroom apartments. Each tenant will reside independently but receive Friendship Service Center services.

Walnut Hill Park Project-A New Look
|
|
One of the most picturesque parks in Connecticut, Walnut Hill is currently under construction and renovation to improve drainage and infrastructure problems. Upon completion, the park will have a new little league field, additional ball fields and a cricket field. The park has recently renovated tennis courts and is traffic controlled to insure the safety of walkers, joggers, runners and bike enthusiasts. The projected date of completion is Spring 2010
The park was designed by renowned architect William Law Olmstead who designed the world famous Central Park in New York City.

Former Central Park Plaza-121 Main Street
|

The video sequences shows the razing of the former central Park Plaza buildings that were constructed on the corner of Chestnut and Main. The buildings were constructed in the late 70's and at the former location of the Strand Movie Theater. Central Park Plaza over the years was home to the Department of Public Utilities, Chamber of Commerce, Connecticut Travel Services and other businesses. The property is now slated to be the new site of New Britain's Police Station, residential housing and reatail center at a time to be determined.

The East Side Restaurant has been undergoing major renovations that include a new second floor addition and an outdoor Bier Garden. The second floor addition is now open offering all your favorite German Biers in addition to your the East Side's famous cuisine.
