The Municipal Economic Development Agency (MEDA) is the economic and business development arm for the City of New Britain. Located at the New Britain Chamber of Commerce, Business Development Coordinator Bill Carroll is responsible for the oversight of the agency in coordination with Mayor Timothy O'Brien and Chamber President Bill Millerick.
Businesses seeking information on city incentives, state and federal tax abatements, coordination of state and federal programs, local and state financing, availability of New Britain industrial, commercial and retail real estate locations, New Britain Enterprise Zone benefits, employment and training programs and general business to business information regarding New Britain companies is readily available.
The Municipal Economic Development Agency may also assist in coordination with City of New Britain departments that primarily include building and zoning, planning, public works ,engineering and the assessor’s office.
