The City of New Britain has recently been recognized through new State of Connecticut legislation and the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) as a BIO-SCIENCE CORRIDOR. The new Connecticut Public Act 10-104, will enable the city to offer tax abatement's and incentives in order to attract new businesses to the community, provide long term high paying jobs and to develop underutilized properties that will provide major investment in high-tech and the bio-science industry/cluster.
